Role: Director of Character Art
I led character art direction for original characters in the Battle Pass, Item Shop, and Crew for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season OG. I defined the visual direction and directed the development of all original characters, working across concept, modeling, materials, tech animation, tech art, VFX, and marketing to deliver final in game assets.
I did not personally create the character assets.
The season revisited the original Fortnite aesthetic, with a focus on recapturing the simplicity, charm, and iconic appeal of early designs while reinterpreting them through a modern lens. Characters were designed to feel immediately familiar, yet new. Balancing nostalgia with originality.
All character art was created by the Epic Games team.
