Role: Director of Character Art
I led character art direction for original characters in the Battle Pass, Item Shop, and Crew for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1: Hunters. I defined the visual direction and directed the development of all original characters, working across concept, modeling, materials, tech animation, tech art, VFX, and marketing to deliver final in game assets.
I did not personally create the character assets.
The season introduced a new chapter set on a Japan inspired island, centered around a conflict between Fortnite heroes and invading demonic forces. The character lineup blended original designs with established Fortnite characters, drawing from Japanese folklore and visual motifs while reinterpreting them through Fortnite’s stylized, game ready lens.
The OG Pass Seasons 1 and 2 also took place during this season, I art directed all of the characters and accessories for those passes.
All character art was created by the Epic Games team.
